In 2023, Courtney became the first athlete to win Western States 100, Hardrock 100, and UTMB in the same season, an unprecedented achievement in ultra-trail running.

Courtney won the 2023 Western States 100 in 15:29:33, finishing sixth overall and setting a women’s course record that stood until 2026.
