THE LIGHTEST PART OF YOUR RUN

At 35 g, the watch body sits close enough to the wrist that you stop registering it — through long runs, through sleep, through the rest of the day. A stainless steel bezel, Gorilla Glass, and 5 ATM water resistance keep it ready for all of it, so training, recovery, and sleep arrive as one complete picture instead of a partial one.

Brightness

BRIGHT ENOUGH TO RUN BY.

CLEAR AT A GLANCE

Pace, heart rate, and distance stay readable in direct sun, so checking a number costs a look rather than a break in rhythm.

10Days

Daily Training Use

TRAIN ALL WEEK, CHARGE ONCE.

CHARGING FITS AROUND YOU

Top up once a week and keep Suunto Run 2 on through the night, so the record of your training stays continuous rather than starting over after every charge.

THE TRACK MATCHES THE RUN

Dual-Band GPS

Suunto Run 2 upgrades to dual-band L1 + L5 positioning across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. Distance, pace, and the track you record sit closer to the route you actually ran, which is what makes the numbers worth executing a training or race plan on.

Upgraded Heart Rate

A STEADIER READ ON YOUR EFFORT

A 12-channel sensor behind 2.5D curved glass gathers more signal at the wrist, so heart rate keeps up with hard intervals, surges, and long efforts in the heat. The effort you feel and the effort Suunto Run 2 reports stay in step, which is what makes it worth training by.

SEE WHERE YOUR EFFORT IS TAKING YOU

EnergySense reads how hard you are working right now against how much you still have, live on the wrist. Deep into a long run or the back half of a race, holding, easing, or pushing becomes a decision you make on what you can see rather than on feel alone.

Marathon Time turns your current pace into a finishing time and keeps updating it as you run. When the target starts to slip, you see it early, while there is still road left to hold, adjust, or push.

YOUR GOAL, NOW A PLAN

YOUR GOAL, NOW A PLAN

Set a target such as a sub-4 marathon and Suunto Run 2 builds it back into the next easy run, the next interval session, and the next long run. Open the plan and today's session is already decided, with the reason behind it visible.

KNOW WHERE YOUR BODY STANDS

KNOW WHERE YOUR BODY STANDS

Training Zone brings training load, HRV, sleep, and recovery together with CTL, ATL, and TSB, so fitness, fatigue, and current form read as one picture rather than four separate screens. Up to 10 days of battery life keeps that picture continuous, night after night.

KNOW WHERE YOUR BODY STANDS

PACE AGAINST YOUR TARGET.

Ghost Runner puts a virtual pacer on the watch, showing whether you are ahead of or behind your target pace. It keeps the race under control across the whole distance instead of turning on a single split.

RACE A RUN THAT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED.

Compare your current run against your own recorded activity, or another runner's, on the same route. The gap shows in real time, so you know exactly what closing it will take.

SET THE TERMS OF THE SESSION.

Set a target time, distance, or pace before you start, then run against it and let Run 2 keep the arithmetic at kilometre 30.

EXPLORE NEW GROUND

THE NEXT TURN, ALREADY ON YOUR WRIST.

Download free worldwide maps to Run 2 before you head out. On a travel run or an unfamiliar route, roads, place names, and your surroundings stay on the wrist, so the next turn is a glance away rather than a stop and a phone. The same maps carry onto light trail sections when the road runs out.

RUN WITH MUSIC

Load music onto Run 2 and play them straight from the watch. Long runs head out with everything already on your wrist, so the session belongs to the run and the playlist alone.

How do I turn it on and off?

To turn the watch on, press and hold the middle button for about five seconds until the screen lights up. To turn it off, press and hold the middle button from the watch face, then go to Settings > General > Power Off.

How do the buttons work?

The watch has three buttons. Press the middle button (the crown) to confirm, enter, or go back, and rotate it to scroll through pages. The upper button changes function depending on the screen you're on. A short press of the lower button steps back, and a long press returns you to the watch face.

How do I change the watch face?

From the watch face, press and hold the middle button, then go to Settings > Customize to switch between the faces already on your watch. You can download more through the Suunto app.

How do I set the time and date?

When the watch is connected to the Suunto app, it syncs the time from your phone automatically. To set it by hand, go to Settings > General > Time/Date, where you can choose a 12 or 24-hour format, your time zone, and the date format.

What is it made of?

It has a stainless steel bezel, a Gorilla Glass lens, a high-performance polymer case, and a 22 mm quick-release silicone strap.

What are the display specs?

The display is a 1.32-inch AMOLED at 466x466, with global brightness up to 2,000 nits, more than three times brighter than Run 1, so it's easy to read in sunlight.

How big is it, and how much does it weigh?

It measures 46 by 46 by 11.5 mm. The head unit weighs just 35 g, and the strap adds about 50 g.

How water resistant is it?

It's water resistant to 5 ATM (50 m), which covers swimming, showering, and running in the rain. It isn't made for snorkeling, scuba diving, or diving off boards. Rinse it with fresh water after you swim.

How many sport modes does it have?

There are 35 sport modes. Running is the focus, with road, trail, treadmill, and track, but you also get cycling, swimming, hiking, gym, triathlon, and more.

Is the heart rate accurate?

Yes. The heart rate sensor is all-new and much steadier during exercise.

Does it track sleep?

Yes, around the clock. It records how long you sleep, your sleep stages (deep, light, REM, and awake), and your overnight heart rate variability.

Which Bluetooth accessories work with it?

It works with chest heart rate straps, Stryd and running dynamics pods, cycling power meters, and Bluetooth headphones.

How long does the battery last?

With dual-frequency, all-constellation GPS it lasts about 24 hours, enough for a full marathon plus the training around it. In everyday use it goes several days, and longer again in battery-saver mode.

How do I charge it / how long does it take?

The magnetic charging cable snaps onto the contacts on the back and charges over USB, reaching full in about 1.5 hours. Dry the contacts before you charge.

Which satellite systems does it support?

It uses the latest dual-frequency, five-constellation GNSS, covering GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. The L1 and L5 bands lift accuracy by about 20% and hold a steadier signal in built-up areas.

Does it have offline maps?

Yes, and it's a first for the Run series. You get free global offline maps with contour lines and place names, with no subscription.

Can it navigate routes?

Yes. Import a route in the app and sync it to the watch to navigate.

What is real-time marathon prediction?

This one's exclusive to Suunto. As you run, the watch works out your projected finish time in real time from your current pace, the route's elevation, the distance you've covered, and your fitness, so you can adjust your pacing on the fly. Your actual finish still depends on weather, terrain, hydration, and how you're feeling, so treat it as a guide.

What marathon training tools does it have?

There's a whole set: a Virtual Pacer mode, Race mode, and target modes for time, distance, ascent, and calories, among others. Guided workouts are supported too.

Is there a dedicated marathon mode?

Yes. The Run series has its own Marathon mode, which adds dedicated data screens on top of the standard running view, including your finish prediction and remaining energy.

What is Training Zone?

Training Zone tracks the balance between your training load and your recovery using the CTL, ATL, and TSB model, an approach endorsed by TrainingPeaks. It helps you see when you're doing too much or too little.

How do I factory reset it?

Go to Settings > General > Factory reset. A reset wipes all your data, so sync anything important to the app first.

What's the warranty?

Suunto's International Limited Warranty covers the watch for two years and accessories for one year from the date of purchase, against defects in materials and workmanship. The authorized service center decides whether to repair, replace, or refund. Keep your proof of purchase, and it's worth registering at suunto.com/register. You'll find the full terms at suunto.com/warranty.

Can I repair it myself?

No. Opening the watch yourself can let water in and cause damage, and using non-original parts or unauthorized repairs voids the warranty. If something's wrong, get in touch through suunto.com/support.

How do I clean and care for it?

Rinse the watch with fresh water after you use it, and use a mild soap if you've been sweating heavily. Keep it away from chemicals like sunscreen and insect repellent, dry the charging contacts before charging, check the strap now and then for wear, and don't wear it in saunas or hot baths.

How much storage does it have?

The standard edition has 4 GB and the premium edition has 64 GB. Because the system takes up some of that, the space you can actually use is a little less than the stated capacity.

Can it play offline music?

Yes. Transfer your MP3 or WAV files, pair a set of Bluetooth headphones, and you can run without your phone. Playlists are managed in the Suunto app.

How do I connect it to the Suunto app?

Download the Suunto app (iOS 17 or later, or Android 8 or later) and create an account or sign in. Choose Pair new device, make sure the watch is on with Bluetooth enabled, and follow the prompts to finish pairing.

What if syncing fails?

A few things to try: make sure Bluetooth is on and you're within about 10 meters; restart Bluetooth on your phone; force-restart the watch by holding the upper button for 20 seconds; unpair and pair again; and check that both the app and the watch firmware are up to date.

Does it show phone notifications?

Yes. Once it's connected to your phone, the watch shows incoming calls, texts, and app notifications.

OTA firmware updates supported?

Yes. When the watch is connected to the app, it tells you when new firmware is available, and you can also check by hand under Settings > About > Software update. Make sure the battery is well charged before you update.

Has alarm, stopwatch, timer?

Yes to all three. You can set multiple alarms, use the stopwatch with lap splits, and run a custom countdown timer.

Can it find my phone and control music?

Yes. Import a route in the Yes. You can ping your phone to make it ring, and control music playback on your phone, including play, pause, skipping tracks, and volume.app and sync it to the watch to navigate.
